About the role Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking to recruit a fixed term Transport Engagement Officer to support Transformation Project work within the Passenger Transport Team. Areas of work will involve re-evaluating high cost routes, parental transport mileage processes, streamlining systems to improve the overall outcomes for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) whilst continuing to ensure best value for money. The post is full-time fixed for a period of 6 months, but we will consider requests for part-time hours. For internal candidates this could be a secondment opportunity, but employees must first seek the agreement of their current service manager if they wish to apply on that basis. Applicants need to be educated to degree level or hold equivalent qualification or experience. The Role will work with key stakeholders, Schools, SEND Service, Young People, Parents/Carers to promote and embed service changes. After initial induction/training it is expected that the postholders will work flexibly with 1-2 days in the office and the balance working from home, visiting schools/providers/contractors.
