Oxfordshire County Council – Pay and Reward Specialist Location – County Hall, Oxford OX1 1ND&Hybrid working. On going contract - £26.85ph – 37 hours Job Purpose: To support the design and delivery of modern and innovative pay and benefits / reward solutions that are aligned to the Council’s strategic vision, values, and culture, and support its ambition to be an employer of choice for a large and diverse workforce. To ensure continuous improvement of the Council’s approach to pay, benefits and reward. To support delivery of the Council’s Delivering the Future Together programme and associated People Strategy. To work collaboratively across all Council services as a specialist advisor, focussed on delivering pay and benefits / reward solutions that blend innovation and creativity, with lawful practice and affordability. Essential Requirements: CIPD professional membership (Level 5 and above) experience. Detailed knowledge of employment and equalities legislation. Pay and Reward experience. Demonstrable experience of applying diversity and inclusion into pay and reward practice. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment. Experience of cost benefit analysis and evidence of securing value for money with limited resources. Ability to negotiate, provide challenge, persuade and influence stakeholders and suppliers, including senior leaders. Ability to work collaboratively. Strong communication skills and credibility to work with a wide range of internal and external colleagues. Strong IT and analytical skills. Ability to develop and present reports to a wide range of audiences. Experience of cost modelling relating to pay, benefits and reward. Evidence of taking responsibility for continuous learning and looking at improvements to existing systems, processes and ways of working. Sees things through to the end and evidences a can-do approach. Local Government experience in Pay and Reward.
