Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to lead and develop our HR function. Currently this position has one direct report. You will report to the COO and partner closely with senior stakeholders to align HR strategies with our ambitious growth plans. Joining an executive search firm that started in 2019 as a two-person operation and has grown to over 40 consultants, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact as we look to double our size in the coming years. The ideal profile will be someone with a background in HR within sales, recruitment or consultative environments. What you’ll be doing Below is an overview of key responsibilities, but we encourage conversations to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the role. Employee Relations Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and general regular one-on-one sit downs with consultants and managers. Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture through effective conflict resolution and engagement initiatives. Performance&Talent Management Develop and manage robust performance appraisal systems, ensuring goals and KPIs are updated regularly in line with business needs. Collaborate with L&D to facilitate coaching and feedback, driving manager effectiveness and employee development. Address underperformance through improvement plans and proactive support. Work with leadership to identify workforce needs, manage succession planning, and ensure retention of top talent. Compensation, Benefits and Compliance Oversee payroll processes, invoicing, salary structures, and benefits administration. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations across the UK and other client jurisdictions, keeping all HR policies and documentation up to date. Manage contracts, workplace investigations, and tribunals if required, ensuring fairness and legal compliance. Keep the company handbook up to date and relevant with the tonality of the business. HR Technology and Data Management Manage HR systems like WorkSmarter, Sage, and Bullhorn, ensuring accurate records and compliance with confidentiality requirements. Use data analytics to track employee performance, retention, satisfaction, and provide actionable insights to management. Employee Engagement and Management Conduct regular employee surveys, analyse feedback, and implement initiatives to improve satisfaction, morale, and work-life balance. Monitor turnover trends and develop retention plans to retain top talent and foster long-term loyalty. Promote team-building activities, recognition programs, and strategies to strengthen engagement across sales teams. Oversee employee exit processes, including exit interviews and final settlements, while gathering actionable feedback. Organisational Development Shape and align HR strategies with the company’s growth plans, supporting restructuring and system integrations. Partner with leadership to define and embed company values.
