Head of Learning and Development £56,000 - £66,000 Manchester, Hybrid Full-time, 6 Month FTC Public Sector Burman are seeking a strategic and innovative Head of Learning and Development to drive the transformation of a key public sectors learning culture. This role will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of comprehensive learning strategies, with a strong focus on implementing and embedding a cutting-edge Learning Management System (LMS) to modernise and streamline our approach to staff development. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in organisational learning, digital transformation, and a passion for fostering growth and engagement across the workforce. Principal Accountabilities Learning and Development Strategy Lead the creation and delivery of the organisation's Learning and Development strategy to meet business goals and align with workforce needs. Partner with senior leaders to identify current and future capability requirements. LMS Implementation and Optimisation Oversee the implementation, and integration of a new Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring alignment with organisational needs and compliance requirements. Manage ongoing system improvements, ensuring the LMS supports user-friendly access to resources, performance tracking, and reporting. Programme Design and Delivery Design and deliver innovative learning programmes, leveraging digital tools to enhance engagement and accessibility. Ensure a blended learning approach that combines e-learning, face-to-face training, and other methodologies. Stakeholder Engagement Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and stakeholders, promoting a culture of continuous learning. Collaborate across departments to ensure L&D initiatives align with organisational goals and promote inclusivity. Performance Metrics and Evaluation Establish KPIs and monitor the impact of L&D initiatives on employee performance and organisational objectives. Use data analytics to generate insights, refine programmes, and ensure ROI on L&D investments. Team Leadership and Development Lead, coach, and inspire the L&D team to deliver high-impact services. Build team capacity to support the implementation and ongoing management of the LMS. Policy and Compliance Ensure all learning initiatives comply with relevant legislation, safeguarding requirements, and internal policies. Continuous Improvement Stay up-to-date with trends in learning technologies, methodologies, and best practices to ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of learning innovation.
