EHS Manager Stratford Upon Avon £50,000 - £55,000 industry leading benefits Opportunity Overview: An opportunity has arisen for an established Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead a local manufacturing company's EHS initiatives. This role entails the development, enactment, and oversight of comprehensive EHS programs and policies across the company, aiming to cultivate a safe, health-conscious, and regulatory-compliant work environment. Core Responsibilities: Formulate and enforce robust and people centric EHS policies, programs, and practices, aligned with regulatory mandates and industry best practices. Perform systematic site evaluations and audits to pinpoint hazards, compliance lapses, and areas for improvement. Lead thorough investigations into incidents, analyse root causes, and implement preventive measures. Engage employees in EHS matters through comprehensive training, awareness initiatives, and active involvement in safety programs. Analyse, compile, and present EHS performance data, establishing benchmarks for ongoing improvement. Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, ensuring full compliance with EHS legislation, including environmental permits and safety protocols. Business partner with the operations team, promoting a safety-conscious and environmentally responsible organizational culture. Candidate Specifications: Demonstrable experience in an EHS management capacity within a fast-paced manufacturing or similar industry (FMCG, Engineering Etc). In-depth knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements, compliance strategies, and industry best practices. Possession of NEBOSH / IOSH qualifications is desirable. Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills, capable of fostering employee engagement and motivation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive stance on risk management. Proficiency in utilizing EHS management systems and software.
