WAN Network Architect Location: Birmingham/Hybrid (3 – 4 days per week on site) Salary: £70K plus 10% bonus and £6K car allowance Candidates must be willing and eligible to go through SC security clearance for this role. We are looking for a WAN Network Architect to work on delivery opportunities taking place within the UK defence sector. The role: Your role will involve providing technical leadership within a project Responsible for the network design and configuration documentation, including passing through any governance reviews As a Network Architect you’ll provide hands on technical configuration/implementation support and ensure successful handover to service Skills and experience Strong technical networking knowledge with industry recognized network certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIS-ENT Demonstrable design experience in proposing and utilizing technologies from global network vendors such as Cisco and Juniper 10 years in networking (2–3 years in design roles) WAN routing The candidate has a good working knowledge of all LAN Switching technologies - (Juniper EX platforms, JUNOS OS, Cisco switches) Encryption overlays (IPSec, GRE, hardware encryption) Network device configuration and troubleshooting
