We are currently looking to recruit a Trainee Project Engineer for a development role in our Operations department within our Aberdeen Headquarters. This role is a full-time position working Monday to Friday; overtime may be required as well as offshore and nationwide travel as part of the role. Key Duties of the role include: Providing support and assistance to Project Engineers, Leads and Managers to ensure that all allocated projects are set-up well, organised, run and supported properly so that they operate safely and effectively. Successfully participate in management of allocated projects by providing a cost effective, reliable, quality service to customers that satisfies their budget and work scope requirements in accordance with Company systems, procedures and processes. The Trainee Project Engineer position will be part of a busy project team within the wider Operations Department. The position will work closely with other project personnel, supporting a wide range of ongoing projects which will allow you to develop your skills and experience in the Industry. Candidates should possess the following skills: Qualification in an Engineering, Science or Business discipline preferred but not essential Excellent communication skills Ability to demonstrate strong interfacing skills with various stakeholders Enthusiastic, pro-active and highly self-motivated Flexible approach to working Ability to work under a degree of pressure Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and operate bespoke databases (training will be provided) Ability to pass the mandatory medical and offshore survival training Willingness to travel to offshore and onshore sites if/when required Willingness and capability to build on existing skills and develop professionally Some previous experience of working in an offshore environment (desirable) Knowledge of inspection and NDT techniques and their application in Industry (desirable) Job reference number 6B1430 Candidates should live within commuting distance of CAN’s Aberdeen Office and hold a full UK Driving Licence.
