A rapidly expanding hedge fund are looking to make a rather unique Trading Assistant mandate, specific to its systematic trading strategy, in its London office. The strategy has market leading returns and is going through a period of exponential expansion – the newly created hire will directly work for the systematic strategy portfolio manager, essentially as a ‘number 2’, receiving incredible on-the-job training, with the longer-term goal of essentially taking on the PM’s remit when he is not there. Shorter-term, the hire will manage order generation / order books / order checks manage algorithms, escalating any issues that come up internally / to the PM, eventually going on to set-up new algorithms themselves. Candidates should have 5-15yrs relevant experience. There is a strong preference for systematic strategy experience. Advanced excel skills are a pre-requisite, some form of coding skills are expected, and any Bloomberg experience would be very useful. The role can pay the successful hire an attractive increase on his/her current base salary and a year one 100% bonus potential for a top performer.
