Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tender Planner to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in both tendering and pre-construction phases across various projects, including civil, utilities, and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Develop winning work program strategies for tenders, collaborating with the pre-construction team to assess risks and opportunities. Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth project execution. Lead and mentor the Tender Planning Team, contributing to their growth and development. Spearhead an efficient planning and programming service for pre-contract and project teams, ensuring consistency across the divisions. Lead and present project schedules (both internal and client-facing) for tenders and live projects. Ensure program compliance with established procedures and guidelines. Collaborate with operational teams to define construction outputs, methods, sequencing, and commissioning processes. Prepare and document planning deliverables: programs, planning philosophies, presentations, and reports. Demonstrate adherence to core values in all your work and interactions. Minimum Qualifications: Degree in engineering/construction or equivalent experience. Operational experience (site engineer/agent) and significant planning experience in medium-to-large UK construction projects. Tender planning experience is a plus. Essential&Desirable Skills: Proficiency in planning and scheduling software: Primavera P6, Asta, or MS Project. Excellent communication, commercial awareness, and financial acumen. Strong teamwork skills. Comprehensive understanding of the design process, procurement routes, and general construction practices. Familiarity with performance measurement techniques like critical path/progress analysis.
