Technical Superintendent (LNG) - Permanent - London – Competitive A leading LNG shipping company with a global presence are recruiting a Technical Superintendent to join their team in London. Reporting to the Fleet Manager, duties will include (but not limited to); Anticipating and driving Safe and Flawless Performance of assigned vessels' operational requirements including: Dry-dock and major repairs and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repairs Ensuring arrangements in place for maintaining appropriate certification Promoting Health and Safety as Corporate Values Providing Technical and Operational support and guidance to assigned vessels Coaching and developing Masters, Chief Engineers and direct reports ashore Arranging class surveys in a timely and cost effective manner Coordinating with relevant shore-based resources to support the vessels Ensuring timely analysis of monthly financial reports Analysing the nature and root cause of any serious breakdown or damage Monitoring results of all vetting inspections and other internal or external audits and ensure follow-up on findings and close outs in timely manner Carrying out regular risk reviews for vessel operations and ensure appropriate actions are taken Set clear goals and expectations for Masters, Chief Engineers and direct reports ashore Management and Planning of manuals / procedures as required for terminal operations Promptly manage incidents/Defect, including root cause analysis and preventive measures Monitor vessels maintenance works based on the PMS with focus on Critical equipment and overdue jobs To be considered for this position you will have sailed as a Chief Engineer onboard LNG Carriers AND have shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent or within a similar capacity.
