Role: Substation Electrical Engineer Rate: Negotiable Location: various across Scotland Sector: Power transmission and distribution. The correct persons for this role will have the ability to: • Install cable containment systems to a high standard safely • Install, gland and terminate cable systems mainly used in the industrial sector to BS7671 and project drawings. • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, using testing devices to verify compatibility and safety of the system. • Plan, Layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on task specification and relevant standards. • Initiative to identify and resolve electrical installation issues on site in hand with site supervision. • Experience of Installation of grounding systems • Have previous experience regarding Installation of switchgear equipment and Electromechanical interlocks • Ability to proactively develop and maintain a strong safety culture as part of the team • Good communication skills to be able to brief the team and engage with site management or wider functions.
