Job Description

We are seeking a Civil/Structural Inspector with experience in inspecting oil and gas processing facilities. The role is open to be based in either Aberdeen, St Fergus or Mossmorran. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all civil and structural inspections, comply with specifications, standards, and safety regulations for 2 onshore gas processing facilities and one marine jetty. The job will require travel between the facilities, although the base location is optional. Key Responsibilities: Inspection and Compliance: Carry out general visual inspection of Civil&Structural elements against Shell Performance Standards and Anomaly Criteria - Topside / Surface Structures - Foundation Structures - Mooring Systems - Structural Elements Providing Fire&Explosion Protection - Passive Fire Protection - Drainage Systems - Maintenance and Integrity of Structural Elements – Anomaly Criteria Reporting: Compile inspection reports recording defects against each performance standard and the anomaly criteria. Reports to be uploaded to IMS and CAIRs / Notifications raised for each defect. Ad hoc requests for additional inspections will also be required as requested by the Shell Structural Team. Integrity Management System (IMS): Manage the IMS website to ensure that CAIRs are raised, monitored, updated and closed out. This will be carried out under the direction of the Shell Structural Team. Coordination: Highlight any areas requiring closer inspection with rope access teams / workboats / drones and manage/co-ordinate these inspections. Safety: Comply with Shell HSSE, Asset Integrity and Process Safety, Environmental, Health, Security and Social Performance and Ethics and Compliance standards. Required Qualifications and Experience: 10 years experience in inspection Relevant experience in the oil and gas industry Minimum HND in Civil or Structural Engineering The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
