Sourcing Manager - Up to £60,000 - Warrington site. We are working with a leading global manufacturer of Performance Chemicals, Advanced Polymer Technologies and Performance Materials who are looking for an experienced Sourcing Manager to join their Warrington Site. Responsibilities: Have responsibility for the indirect spend for manufacturing sites in EMEA. This will include leading large cross-functional project teams through the sourcing and procurement process. • Develop a regional plan based on the overall global category strategy, current market conditions and the business environment. • Perform indirect procurement function; including bidder prequalification, form of contract selection, bid solicitation and evaluation, contract negotiation, contract award, contract administration and close out. • Maintain a largely strategic role with indirect materials and services for the EMEA region and support sourcing activities for critical materials of the business such as capital projects, plant services, contractors, equipment servicing, MRO and lab suppliers. Resolve nonconformance issues, back-charges and claims in a timely manner to minimize the Company's exposure. Identify areas of risk within supply chain; implement appropriate mitigation measures. Experience: • Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain Management. • A minimum of five years of procurement experience or equivalent experience in relevant business categories. • Minimum two years of experience leading large global procurement initiatives for a mature procurement organisation. • Successfully lead negotiations for global, multi-year, multi million-dollar contracts in indirect categories. • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders in Operations, Supply Chain, Product Development, including senior management and executives. • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are necessary to work across all levels of the organisation. • Project management skills are preferred. • Must be a team player and adapt well to a multitasking, fast paced environment with changing priorities and challenges.
