Position: Site Manager Location: Manchester Area Project: £150 Million High-Rise Residential Development Contract Duration: 12 Months Rate: Competitive (based on experience) About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to manage one of two high-rise blocks within a £150 million residential development in Manchester. This is a contract role for approximately 12 months, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a landmark project. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will oversee operations for your designated block, ensuring that construction progresses smoothly, safely, and on schedule. This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail and effective collaboration with the wider site team. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations and manage site activities for your allocated block. Supervise subcontractors and site personnel to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards. Monitor progress, identify and resolve on-site issues, and report updates to the Project Manager. Implement and enforce health and safety protocols in line with company and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure all works meet specification requirements. Coordinate with other block managers and teams to ensure seamless integration of site activities. Maintain accurate records, including progress reports, site diaries, and relevant documentation. Key Requirements: Proven experience managing sections of large-scale residential or high-rise projects. Strong knowledge of construction processes, health and safety standards, and site management practices. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work effectively under the direction of the Project Manager and as part of a team. CSCS card (black or gold), SMSTS, and First Aid certification are essential.
