Merrifield Consultants are delighted to partner with The Scar Free Foundation to find them a Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager to join their ambitious and collaborative team. This is a fantastic opportunity to focus on securing six- and seven-figure partnerships with trusts and foundations to support pioneering medical research that transforms lives. Organisation: The Scar Free Foundation Position: Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager Location: Home-based (with occasional travel to London and visits to research sites in Swansea, Birmingham, and Bristol) Contract: Fixed-term (12 months, with potential for extension subject to funding) Salary: Up to £47,000 per annum Reports to: Head of Development Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week, flexible working considered) Required: CV and Cover Letter Benefits: : 25 days annual leave bank holidays four additional days for Christmas closure, Flexible Working Key Responsibilities: Lead on developing and implementing a strategy to secure six- and seven-figure, multi-year partnerships with trusts and foundations. Collaborate with the Head of Development to align fundraising activities with organisational budgets and research priorities. Identify, research, and prioritise high-value trust and foundation prospects (£100,000). Build a pipeline of new funding opportunities through targeted research and strategic engagement. Work with teams across research, finance, and communications to produce persuasive, donor-centric funding proposals. Cultivate and steward relationships with existing and potential funders, ensuring excellent engagement and long-term partnerships. Experience: Proven ability to secure and manage a grant portfolio worth £1m from trusts and foundations. Strong expertise in managing the full donor cultivation cycle and building high-value relationships. Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas and create persuasive proposals. Proficiency in prospect research and tailored donor engagement strategies.
