About the role: As an environmental commodity Senior Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales and trading activities related to environmental commodities, with a specific focus on European markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales across the EU market that support business objectives, increase brand awareness, and deliver growth. Key Responsibilities: • Building and maintaining client relationships, conducting market research, and executing trades. • Be involved in market research and analysis of European environmental markets, identifying potential clients, market trends, and trading opportunities. • Development and maintenance of client relationships by providing timely and accurate market updates, research insights, and product information. • Collaborate with the sales team colleagues to prepare sales materials, presentations, and proposals for client meetings and pitches, with a focus on EU clients. • Actively participate in sales meetings and client calls and follow up on action items as needed. • Monitor market developments, policy changes, and industry news related to European / German speaking environmental markets to stay updated on the latest trends and developments. • Assist in the execution of trade transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, transactions, and market data, with a particular emphasis on European market activities- using CRM system. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research analysts and traders, to gather insights and contribute to trading strategies and product development in the European countries, context. • Stay informed about emerging technologies, innovations, and sustainable finance initiatives within Europe to identify potential areas of growth and differentiation for the company. • Be involved in administration tasks, such as organising meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements, as required. Ideal Candidate: • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, environmental science, or a related field. • 3 years of experience in front office roles in commodity sales, trading, or related environments. • Strong interest in environmental markets, sustainability, and climate change issues, with a specific focus on European markets. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends in the European context. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word • Familiarity with European environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks.
