Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Remote) Salary up to £50,000 Health insurance Company bonus up to 15% Fully remote We currently have a fully remote senior mechanical design engineer role for a client of ours. They are a fairly new company going into the 3rd year of business and looking to turnover 3 million pounds. You will be working alongside 5 other senior designs on exciting projects. You must have 6 years of design experience Role Overview: As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company. Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical systems using your expertise in 3D CAD software, with a preference for Solidworks. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring our vision to life and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design process for mechanical systems, from concept to production. Utilize your proficiency in CREO (or equivalent 3D CAD packages) to create detailed models and drawings. Work closely with the engineering team to optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. Conduct thorough analysis and testing to validate designs and identify areas for improvement. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, preferably in industrial settings, having experience working on machinery, conveyors, plant or large static recycling plants. Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with a strong preference for CREO. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
