A Senior Embedded Test Engineer (Automation) is sought by this leading mixed-signal processing developer based in Edinburgh (locations also exist in London and Berkshire). The Senior Embedded Test Engineer will be responsible for crafting and executing embedded software test strategies, implementing automation frameworks in Python and working closely with the hardware ensuring the quality of software and systems. The Senior Embedded Test Automation Engineer will be working closely with colleagues in both low-level software development and hardware design getting involved in triage and debugging using lab tools including oscilloscopes, signal generators and logic analysers. Having completed your technical education, you will have a number of years of experience writing test automation software in Python. Your background must also include extensive experience testing embedded software and bare-metal level software preferably aimed at semiconductors, microprocessors or microcontrollers. You will have a good knowledge of developing Python-based tools and frameworks and a solid understanding of test methodologies and automation. You must have hands on embedded software test experience coupled with experience with lab test equipment or MCU / DSP cores / processors. Candidates need to be fully authorised to work in the UK.
