The Role The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate with a focus on non-contentious construction law to join their team. The successful candidate will work on complex and high-profile projects, advising clients from the outset on procurement strategies, contract negotiations, and risk management. Key Responsibilities Drafting and negotiating standard form contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC, FIDIC) and bespoke arrangements. Advising on development, construction, and project documentation for regeneration schemes, energy projects, and infrastructure. Supporting clients in preparing agreements that reflect their interests and appropriately allocate risk. Providing strategic advice on live projects, including payment disputes, delays, insolvency issues, and contract analysis. Collaborating with clients to resolve potential disputes and shape commercial negotiations. Supervising junior team members and participating in business development initiatives. Candidate Profile Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ PQE with extensive experience in non-contentious construction law. Knowledge: Proficiency in JCT, NEC, and FIDIC standard contracts, including standard amendments and market practices. Sector Expertise: Experience in real estate, housing, or accommodation projects is particularly desirable. Skills: Strong organisational, team leadership, and communication abilities.
