SUMMARY The meshing development unit (MDU) is seeking a R&D engineer to develop start-of-the-art volume mesh generation methods. The primary focus for this role will be on Delaunay/Voronoi based methods for the creation of polyhedral meshes. Working knowledge of weighted Delaunay/Voronoi tessellation is advantageous. It is expected that the successful candidate has an analytical mind and a strong interest in computational geometry and discrete geometry processing. This role requires engagement in all stages of code and capability planning, research, creation and evolution of meshing functionalities. Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience BS in engineering, Computer Graphics, Computational Geometry or Mathematics, with 2 years’ experience, or MS Solid background in computational geometry and discrete geometry processing Working knowledge of software development Knowledge with Python and C/C++ Preferred Qualifications and Skil ls. Strong interest in programming and algorithm development. Working knowledge of GPU programming. Strong analytical skills Ability to overcome obstacles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies
