Project Manager- Midlands £60-70K or Contract The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of specific automation/tooling projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. The role will play a critical role in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing customer relationships, and driving continuous improvement in our project management processes. The scope of the role will be automotive automation/tooling programs, where it will be necessary to use strong technical and people skills to manage customer programmes from design / concept stage through installation and commissioning of automated assembly equipment and /or tooling Key Skills and Experience Mechanical Engineering Degree / Diploma or Recognized Certificate of Qualification in a Mechanical trade AND / OR minimum 10 years’ experience in automotive assembly / tooling manufacturing environment at commensurate level - Demonstrable track record in Project Management role with excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams - Commercial awareness and customer facing experience - Knowledge of GD&T / CMM inspection reports - Strong technical background, with a solid understanding of automated equipment design and integration - Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Auto CAD and Visual Manufacturing System - Proficiency in project management tools and software - Previous budget responsibility
