Job Title: Product Safety Engineer £55,000 Location: Coventry – Offering hybrid and flexible working arrangements (details available during recruitment discussions) Salary: Negotiable based on experience What You’ll Be Doing Develop, implement, and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure compliance and best practices. Lead Product Safety hazard and risk identification, management, and assessment activities. Manage and administer the Project Hazard Log effectively. Perform peer reviews , verification, and assurance tasks to ensure the adequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supporting documentation. Apply knowledge of wider Safety Case , Quality , and Management System documentation . Contribute to the creation and delivery of the Project Safety Case , including producing Safety Case reports. Craft and present clear and logical technical safety arguments. Provide independent product design assurance , aligning with the product lifecycle and engineering product policies. Offer technical support for assessing and quantifying functional integration risks . Your Skills and Experiences Essential: Knowledge of HAZOP , HAZIN , and FTA methodologies. Hands-on experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) . A STEM Degree or equivalent experience. Desirable: Experience in chairing Hazard Identification (HAZIN) meetings. Background in mentoring and coaching teams or individuals. Familiarity with submarine design lifecycle processes. Why Join Us?
