A top 20 global law firm is seeking a talented junior associate to join its highly regarded Private Equity and Corporate M&A team in London. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex transactions for an impressive portfolio of clients and a significant responsibility to provide principal associate support on transactions. The team delivers a partner-led service advising on mid-market transactions (typically £100m-£500m) that frequently involve cross-border elements. The work encompassed private equity buy-out, general M&A and corporate advisory work in addition to venture capital transactions. Responsibilities Provide core support in handling private equity, M&A, and venture capital transactions, ensuring the highest quality of service on complex and cross-border deals. Work closely with private equity sponsors and management teams, navigating high-profile transactions in the mid-market space. Collaborate with in-house specialists in banking and finance, tax, employee benefits, and regulatory, as well as sector-focused teams, to provide holistic advice across deals. Manage client relationships effectively, delivering clear, commercial, and strategic guidance on each transaction. Requirements NQ – 1 PQE solicitor qualified in England&Wales or Ireland. Foundational experience in the private equity sector, with a good understanding of buy-outs and M&A transactions. Strong commercial acumen and technical legal skills. Proactive and ambitious, with a desire to assume responsibility and provide principal support in transactions.
