About the role We are looking for an experienced professional to join us on a six-month temporary contact as a Principal Transport Planner. . Sitting within the Highways service of our Place&Economy directorate, the role forms a key part of our Transport Strategy team. Working with our public transport and sustainable transport officers and other transport planning staff, you will be developing the policies, strategies and investment schemes to enable the Council to meet its aspirations for improving transport facilities while facing the challenge of a climate emergency. About you Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have significant transport planning or policy experience, particularly in strategy development and public consultation. Good project and programme management skills and experience of partnership working are also required. Experience of Local Transport Plans, Local Plans or the management of transport scheme/projects will also be useful.
