Job Description

We are currently working with a multidiscipline practice of construction consultants who are looking for a Principal Designer/CDM Advisor to be based out of their Manchester office. The role is a full-time office-based position, and is due to start on notice. The salary being offered is between £40,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience. Our client is looking for a candidate holding a recognised health and safety qualification and experience working in the construction sector. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Assisting and advising clients in order to compile all necessary pre-construction information, and providing the information for the designers and contractors Reviewing principal contractors’ construction phase plans Completing site audits on newbuild housing and housing planned maintenance projects Attending design meetings and progress meetings on site throughout all stages of build Maintaining safety awareness at sites and keeping up with building regulations and design standards Experience required: Recognised health and safety qualification Full UK driving license Skills, knowledge and expertise required: Good eye for overall concepts and detail Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved introduction of precision technical plan, blueprints, drawings, and models Rewards and Benefits: Attractive work setting Generous paid holiday package Flexible working Car parking provided Excellent defined contributions pension with a high level of employer contributions Opportunities to develop your career through training, including gaining professional qualifications, career coaching, mentoring etc. Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am-5pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
