Port Operations Coordinator - Southampton, Hampshire, United Kingdom Port Operations Coordinator Location: Southampton, UK Department: Operations We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Port Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient local port operations, coordinating with terminals, vendors, and authorities, while optimising feeder transportation where applicable. This role offers a chance to contribute to seamless international shipping operations in a fast-paced, global environment. Key Responsibilities: Monitor terminal costs and optimize cross-functional workflows. Act as a point of contact for terminal issues, ensuring timely and sustainable problem-solving. Maintain and optimise local contracts and systems in alignment with company procedures. Organise daily feeder transport (where applicable), handle vendor coordination, and manage cost inputs in EDI systems. Ensure clear, timely communication with internal and external stakeholders, including customer service and vendors. Skills&Qualifications: Experience in shipping operations, ideally within feeder/port environments. Port agency experience is preferred but not compulsory. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills. Ability to work under pressure with a methodical and accurate approach. Knowledge of IMDG and customs procedures is an advantage. Proficient in GSuite&Microsoft Office; OPUS experience is a plus. Personal Attributes: Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
