Locum Phlebotomist – GP Practice, Harrow Position: Locum Phlebotomist Location: GP Practice, Harrow Contract Duration: 13th February – 28th February 2025 Working Hours: 3 - 5 days a week available 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Role Type: Temporary/Locum - potential to extend Rate: £12 per hour £16 per hour DOE About the Role We are seeking an experienced and professional Phlebotomist to join a friendly GP practice in Harrow on a locum basis. This temporary position is specifically for running blood clinics from 13th to 28th February 2025. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the practice by ensuring high-quality phlebotomy services. Key Responsibilities Performing blood sample collections efficiently and professionally during dedicated blood clinics. Ensuring accurate labelling, handling, and documentation of samples in accordance with protocols. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control and health&safety guidelines. Providing a reassuring and professional service to patients of varying ages and needs. Managing patient records and ensuring all data is accurately recorded in the system. Requirements Proven experience as a Phlebotomist, preferably in a primary care or GP setting. Valid and up-to-date phlebotomy certification. Proficiency in electronic patient records (e.g., EMIS, SystemOne) is desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to put patients at ease.
