Job Title: Norland Nanny or Equivalent Location: Birmingham City Centre (with frequent travel to London) Start Date: March Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week, flexible schedule Schedule: Monthly rota, 4-5 days per week (Wednesday - Saturday), including occasional overnights About Us: Our clients are a high-net-worth family based in Birmingham City Centre with a three-month-old baby and a friendly dog. We are seeking a caring and experienced Norland Nanny (or equivalent) who has experience working with high-net-worth families, is comfortable with dogs, and has experience with weaning young children to provide support during this important stage of their child's development. Key Responsibilities: - Provide specialized care for the three-month-old baby, including feeding, changing, and establishing a sleep routine. - Offer guidance and support to parents on newborn care practices, developmental milestones, and weaning processes. - Assist with feeding, bathing, and soothing the baby, ensuring their comfort and well-being. - Monitor the baby's development and provide feedback to parents. - Help with light household tasks related to the baby (e.g., laundry, meal prep for the mother, and tidying up). - Accompany the family on trips to London, providing support during outings or appointments. - Ensure the safety and well-being of the baby around the family dog, including supervision during interactions. Qualifications: - Previous experience as a Norland Nanny, maternity nurse, or in a similar role with infants, specifically within high-net-worth households. - Relevant certifications in childcare or early childhood education (e.g., pediatric first aid, newborn care). - Strong understanding of infant development and care practices, including weaning. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a family team. - Comfort and experience with dogs, ensuring a harmonious environment for both the baby and the pet. - Flexibility to accommodate a varied schedule, including occasional overnight stays. Desirable Skills: - Knowledge of breastfeeding support and techniques. - Experience with sleep training methods. - Familiarity with developmental milestones and appropriate activities for infants. - Calm demeanor and ability to handle stressful situations with ease.
