Medical Manager We’re currently seeking a Medical Manager to support our Rare Disease franchise. If you are an accredited physician or UK-registered pharmacist with a keen interest in medical strategy and a desire to make a significant impact in the healthcare industry, this role is perfect for you Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead the therapy area Integrated Brand Team (IBT) with cross-functional team members. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with local operations and global objectives. Medical Plan Collaboration: Work with key medical functions to develop the Local Annual Medical Plan and Asset Medical Budget(s). Strategy Alignment: Plan medical strategy and tactics in collaboration with the Medical Affairs leadership. Customer Collaboration: Align medical strategy with account and customer plans of the MSL team. Healthcare Partnerships: Foster professional collaborations with the healthcare community. Scientific and Educational Activities Conduct scientific exchanges with thought leaders for mutual clinical and scientific interests. Identify and foster collaboration opportunities aligned with organizational strategy. Build partnerships with healthcare professionals and act as a medical contact for external experts. Provide scientific/educational presentations to HCPs proactively and reactively. Organize and support scientific exchange meetings and satellite symposia in UK&Ireland congresses. Insight Generation and Sharing Gather insights from HCPs related to disease state, unmet medical needs, and therapeutic trends. Organize and deliver advisory boards. Report insights from major national and regional medical congresses. Collaborate with patient organizations on specific initiatives. Support to Clinical Development&ISS Support R&D projects and company-sponsored studies (CSS) operations. Coordinate unsolicited investigator-sponsored study (ISS) requests. Implement and follow up on post-marketing clinical activities. Identify opportunities for real-world-evidence data generation. Facilitate peer-reviewed publications based on integrated data plans. Resource Allocation Manage budgets and resources in consultation with the Finance team. Approve relevant projects and contracts within budget limits. Ensure timely delivery of activities within budget and efficiencies. Internal Cross-Functional Collaborations Provide scientific expertise and training to commercial staff. Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials. Attend brand teams and regional account planning/training sessions. Support hospital formulary submissions and enhance patient journeys within the healthcare system. Requirements Accredited physician or UK-registered pharmacist. Proven experience in Medical Affairs; prior TA experience is preferred but not essential. Experience as a medical signatory (or the equivalent for the UK ABPI Code of Practice). Expertise in the design, planning, and conduct of clinical research protocols. Comprehensive knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations related to interactions with healthcare professionals. Valid driving license.
