The Role Finatal is seeking an experienced M&A Manager to join a dynamic software business backed by a leading midmarket private equity fund. Positioned as a market disruptor, the company is executing an ambitious buy-andbuild strategy, targeting small, founder-led businesses and driving value creation from within. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of an acquisitive, fast-paced organization while engaging directly with founders to prepare their businesses for acquisition. Key Responsibilities • Leading all stages of the M&A process, including origination, valuation, due diligence, execution, and postacquisition integration. • Building relationships with founders of target businesses, understanding their operational needs, and preparing them for acquisition. • Conducting detailed financial analyses and presenting strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders. • Managing external advisors and collaborating with internal teams to drive seamless execution of transactions. • Contributing to the company’s value creation strategy by identifying growth opportunities within acquired businesses. Qualifications • 4–6 years of experience in M&A, with in-house experience in the software sector strongly preferred. • Proven track record of managing the entire M&A lifecycle, including due diligence, execution, and integration. • Exceptional financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills. • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with founder-led teams. • Strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
