Are you a seasoned claims professional ready to tackle high-value cases? As a Senior Technical Claims Handler in our Large Loss Team, you’ll manage a portfolio of serious motor claims with reserves exceeding £500,000. You’ll be a central point of expertise, driving strategy, reviewing cases, and ensuring the best outcomes. What You’ll Do : Take charge of a caseload of complex, high-value bodily injury claims Manage claims cost effectively through negotiation and sound liability/quantum arguments Maintain disciplined files, accurate reserves, and adhere to SLAs and Court timetables Attend trials and conferences with Counsel as needed Act as a technical referral point, sharing your expertise across the business Develop strong relationships with colleagues, business partners, and reinsurers Ensure compliance with FCA, GDPR, TCF, and other regulatory requirements What You Bring : Deep knowledge of personal injury claims : particularly serious injury and indemnity policies Strong technical skills: including understanding Discount Rates, Care Claims, and other heads of claim A solid grasp of current Case Law and medical disciplines relevant to injury claims Exceptional negotiation and decision-making skills Knowledge of Tradex systems and indemnity protocols is essential Strong communication, coaching, and mentoring abilities Commercial awareness and a proactive, flexible approach to claims management
