Rate: £650 PAYE per day Starting date: ASAP Contract Duration: 1 year Location: London, UK Working model: Hybrid Company: World's biggest Investment Bank Paid holidays and national insurance plus benefits Job Summary CCIB Channels are looking for KDB developers to join our expanding data analytics team, building solutions towards a strategic KDB Platform. Daily duties will involve working with data from various business areas by taking requirements and developing user analytics and solutions to aid our regulation projects as well as pricing/trading algorithms and ultimately P&L. Ideally you have experience with Q/KDB working in a similar environment and have front office knowledge of the FX, RATES business or quantitative finance. You should be comfortable performing analysis and manipulation of large data sets in a high frequency low latency environment. Part of the team will provide architecture and support of the KDB platform, and you would be expected to contribute to the design and technical direction where possible with some rotation in from development to L2/L3 support. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part an agile multi-asset ecommerce trading system development team that is distributed between London, Singapore and New York. The successful candidates are expected to: RESPONSIBILITIES / DELIVERABLES: Take responsibility for the system component design and build Ensure developed code is fully tested through automated unit tests Work in an Agile Manner and able to take on various agile roles. Adhere to bank development practices Manage application support handover to global teams Maintain and enhance the code base after project go-live Build relationships with fellow development / support teams inside/outside FM, Infrastructure units etc. Advocate delivery excellence, ensuring application release quality QUALIFICATIONS&SKILLS Q/KDB Experience Experience with development in a Linux/Unix environment Experience of working closely with the business/business analysts Experience/ability to understand FX products and services. Working understanding of SQL and simple DDL operations Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact with business representatives. Desirable but not essential as training will be given. KX Insights/Stream/Control Java, C++, Python, Statistical ( Matlab, R) Understanding of ecommerce product workflow across front office and middle office tiers Good understanding of price discovery, deal acceptance, and position management approaches across the Fixed Income OTC product space, including FX, IRS, and Bonds
