About the company: Our client is renowned for its innovation and excellence in the infrastructure sector. With a strong market reputation and a commitment to delivering outstanding projects; they are seeking a non-contentious Construction Lawyer to join their legal team. About the role: Reporting to the Head of Legal. As a key member of the team, you will play a fundamental part in shaping the future success of the legal function as it moves into a new world of innovative legal advice and support for the business. This is a broad legal and commercial role reflecting the innovative multi-disciplinary approach of the business. The role will require the candidate to manage a broad spectrum of legal work mainly construction, engineering and commercial contracts. The successful candidate will be reviewing, drafting, negotiating and advising on a variety of legal agreements. Additionally, you will be responsible for the delivery of commercially focused legal advice and support to the business. Other responsibilities will include dealing with acquisitions and disposals and supporting the business in addressing its legal needs across construction, corporate, commercial, and procurement. The candidate must bring a proactive, business and solution-oriented mindset to legal matters and a proven ability to work collaboratively across the organisation and legal team. About you: The successful candidate will have at least 2 PQE, having trained in a top UK law firm. Experience within the non-contentious construction sector and infrastructure sector is preferable. Familiarity with key standard form of construction contracts including NEC is desirable. Ideally you would have experience of working in a fast-paced in-house environment. This role would suit someone who is commercially astute and who thrives in a collegiate and supportive environment.
