Role Description: Okta Administrator – IT Acquisition Specialist Job Description Seeking an Okta Administrator to support our IT programme by defining, building and optimising Okta applications. This role will be critical in establishing secure access, integrating acquired applications and supporting the transition of newly acquired systems and users. As a development-oriented administrator, you will focus on building, configuring and supporting tailored IAM solutions that facilitate smooth and secure access transitions for the acquired entity. Key Responsibilities • Integration Development: develop and implement integrations between Okta and applications, setting up SSO, MFA and custom provisioning to streamline user access. Leverage development skills to create scalable identity integrations using Okta’s API and configuration tools. • Platform Customisation&Optimisation: refine Okta application configurations to ensure optimal security and functionality for acquired systems, customising roles, workflows and policies to align with specific needs. • Targeted Operational Support: serve as a point of support as an Okta specialist, addressing configuration and integration issues related to IAM and user access control. • Documentation&Technical Oversight: create detailed documentation of integration processes, configurations and workflows to ensure smooth access and continuity for new users. Support technical teams with insights and expertise for consistent identity management. Qualifications • Required: - Okta Certification - Okta Certified Administrator, with development experience preferred. - Specialised IAM Experience: focused experience in IAM functions, with a focus on the requirements of the acquisition, user access transitions and system integration. - Technical Proficiency: strong command of SAML, OAuth, OIDC and Okta integration techniques. • Preferred: - Experience in large-scale Transition Projects: familiarity with IAM and access management specific to acquisitions, understanding the complexities of adopting and integrating diverse applications and systems.
