Propel are the exclusive search partner of a growing business media publication to find a Commercial Leader to help fuel their growth and reach their potential As the organisation continues to expand its presence, we are looking for their first standalone commercial hire. In a nutshell, this role will oversee events and partnerships through a commercial and strategic lens. The Role: This role will closely partner with the MD to unlock the company's growth potential through maximising revenue streams, playing a crucial role in shaping future direction. This role can be a Commercial Lead, Head of Commercial Partnerships or potentially even Director. Ultimately, the role will lead partnership and event strategies, with a strong focus on revenue generation and commercial growth , and grow a team. Key Responsibilities: Sponsorship Acquisition&Event Monetisation: Lead the acquisition of sponsors and event partnerships, maximising revenue from both physical and digital events. Strategic Partnership Development for Revenue Growth: Build and nurture partnerships with media, tech companies, and influencers to create new revenue opportunities through sponsorships and co-branded initiatives. Commercial Strategy and Revenue Growth: Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue across editorial products, events, and initiatives, adjusting offerings like advertising and sponsorships to market demands. Event Sales&Ticketing: Create and execute strategies to boost ticket sales and sponsorship revenue, attracting key audiences and ensuring event profitability. Sponsored Content&Cross-Platform Integration: Work with editorial and sales teams to deliver integrated sponsored content, aligning events, magazine content, and digital platforms for commercial success. International Market Expansion: Grow the event portfolio globally, leveraging partnerships and regional strategies to boost ticket sales and attract diverse audiences. Key Account Management and Market Insight: Manage key accounts, secure high-value deals, and monitor industry trends to identify new opportunities, overseeing budgeting and reporting. Team Leadership and Project Delivery: Grow and lead the commercial team, set goals, and oversee sales plans to ensure successful project delivery and high standards across sponsorships. Who You Are Industry Experience: Proven experience within a B2B publication environment covering marketing or media. Strong Network: A well-established network of contacts for developing partnerships and securing sponsorships. Revenue Growth Expertise: Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and shaping commercial strategies. Commercial Mindset: A business-focused mindset with a strong desire to contribute to the company’s growth. Event Strategy Expertise: Solid experience in designing and executing event strategies. Self-Starter and Team Player: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams. Practical Info: Location : Ideally 3 days a week in central London, but with some flexibility. Compensation : we're ideally looking at profiles that would fit between £90,000 - £110,000 base salary DOE plus package - however this can be discussed in more detail.
