OBM are currently recruiting for a Gantry Inspector for our oil and gas service provider client based in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting inbound and outbound cargo, recording and reporting non-conformance. Role and Responsibilities: Inspect all cargo delivered to the gantry in accordance with OGUK Best Practice Safe Packing and Handling of Cargo to and from Offshore Locations and the clients Global Operating Procedure Check off cargo against cargo summary ticket Ensure all cargo complies with client shipping matrix Accurately record all discrepancies and raise non-conformances and SIDs as required Liaise with Shipping Controllers and other quayside personnel as required Liaise with delivery drivers to ensure correct documentation is used Confirm dangerous goods documentation and labelling as correct Take part in effective LiveSafe conversations before commencement of job task and or when conditions change Conduct Live Safe Interventions (LSI) and record for inclusion on base scorecard Attend and contribute to monthly safety meetings Regularly review procedures, work aids and risk assessments Ensure the correct use of Forklifts and Lifting equipment as set out in legislative and procedural policy; If authorised to carry out lifting activities (Forklift Operations / Banksman&Slinger duties), ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the Company's Group Operating Procedures and Global Lifting Procedures Ad-hoc duties as required in line with applicable training/competency assessments undertaken Minimum Qualifications: 5 - 15 Ton Counterbalance Forklift Banksman Slinger - OPITO Stage
