By getting deeply involved in the operation of the business, you will support the Home Service leadership team on all financial matters, as well as supporting on new growth opportunities. This role can be mostly based at home with occasional meetings required at our Centrica sites. Close working with the fulfilment, planning&dispatch, commercial and sales teams to understand the overall Home Solutions financial position and forecast and present this to senior leaders as required Liaise with supply chain colleagues to ensure stock position and cost of the different fulfilment methods is understood Support the operation in embedding and improving net zero fulfilment activity within BGS&S and in the design and operation of any intercompany requirements thereon Work with FP&A teams to deliver robust, well understood and challenging plans and forecasts, as well as flagging emerging changes in business performance through the LV process. Then working with the business to analyse financial and operational (value driver) variances and recommend and monitor corrective action Identify other performance improvement interventions then design means of implementing changes to facilitate the business to implement Support the wider finance team and business by providing robust, insight and analysis to drive improvements in financial performance Develop deep understanding of key drivers of resourcing and fulfilling home installations, including a rolling risks and opportunities list Understand business strategy and its translation into financial impacts, and support its effective communication across Finance Carry out non-standard / bespoke analysis to support business decision making as required. Who are we looking for? Key competencies required to carry out the role competently and effectively include: Accountancy qualification Post qualification experience Strong ability to summarise complex matters and communicate effectively to influence a range of audiences; Ability to pro-actively develop positive and highly effective working relationships, influencing management on delivery and relevant strategy; Strategic thinking - able to step away from the detail and combine data with external trends and market data to see the bigger picture; Critical thinking and analytical skills to provide check and challenge to the business in their decision making in an effective and constructive manner; A demonstrated ability in commercial analysis and evaluation, with strong commercial acumen to support delivery of business goals; Ability to identify, assess and analyse operational risks and controls.
