Company Overview: A leading provider in the water treatment industry, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at one of our water treatment sites in Wales. The role involves ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of electrical systems critical to water treatment processes. Key Responsibilities: Electrical Systems Maintenance&Troubleshooting Supervise the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and control systems. Provide technical support to ensure electrical equipment operates efficiently and within required safety standards. Preventive Maintenance: Oversee and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical infrastructure, minimizing downtime and maximizing the reliability of water treatment operations. System Upgrades&Modifications: Assist with electrical system design, upgrades, and modifications to improve efficiency and compliance with industry standards. Fault Diagnosis&Problem Resolution: Supervise the response to electrical faults or system failures, ensuring quick diagnosis and resolution with minimal disruption to water treatment operations. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices. Carry out risk assessments and safety audits regularly to ensure safe working conditions. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and upgrades carried out. Produce technical reports and performance data for senior management. Work closely with other engineers, maintenance teams, and operational staff to support the overall objectives of the water treatment sites. Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians. Key Requirements: Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is highly desirable. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within a water treatment or industrial environment. Strong experience in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment in a high-voltage environment. Skills: Proficiency in electrical engineering principles, with a strong understanding of power distribution, control systems, and electrical safety protocols. Familiarity with electrical design software, SCADA systems, and other water treatment technologies. Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills, with the ability to work under pressure. Personal Attributes: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative. High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
