Job Description

Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician Join our dynamic team as an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing electrical and instrumentation equipment at a waste to energy facility. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled professionals looking to make a difference in a challenging and rewarding environment. Salary of £50,000 per annum Shift Allowance Pension Bonus Key Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and machine breakdowns, ensuring equipment reliability. Implement and enhance preventive maintenance programs for electrical and instrumentation machinery. Diagnose faults and deliver effective repairs in a timely manner. Execute installation work to high standards and statutory compliance. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maintain equipment in optimal condition. Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repair and maintenance work. Participate in relevant training programs to develop and maintain technical expertise. Work on rotating shifts, including nights and days, with potential on-call duties to address operational emergencies. Requirements: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent trade certification. Electrical experience in heavy industrial environments such as power plants. Skilled in large-scale installation, PPM work, and fault-finding using electrical drawings.
