About The Company Heriot Brown is partnering with a longstanding tech client on a Lead Regulatory position within their EMEA legal function. About The Role As Senior Lawyer in the Regulatory function, you will play a key role in providing legal support and guidance to the business on a range of matters across EMEA, including the Online Safety Act (OSA) and Digital Services Act (DSA). Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with business teams to maintain ongoing compliance with consumer, advertising, and online platform legislation across European regions. Proficient in providing counsel on regulations concerning user-generated content, such as the Digital Services Act within the EU and the Online Safety Act in the UK Assist the product legal team in the review of new products and features to ensure they align with applicable legal standards and guidance. Lead on engagement with regulatory authorities, specifically those responsible for consumer law, advertising, and online platform regulation, to ensure a unified and strategic approach to regulatory inquiries and investigations. Provide expert guidance on compliance and risk management issues while assessing potential risks and coordinating with other departments. Qualifications: Qualified solicitor with 12 PQE. Regulatory compliance and investigation experience in Europe Excellent collaboration skills with colleagues, internal stakeholders, senior executives, and regulators. Ability to manage high-profile projects in complex legal and regulatory environments. Effective teamwork in a fast-paced setting.
