About the Employer

Job Description

About Collective Be Collective. It’s everything we aspire to be. And everything we seek in others. Our invitation, mission and ethos. Be good to each other. Offer a helping hand. Give a damn (always). Think passion with compassion. Excellence with inclusivity. And office politics, silos and egos are left out front. This is Collective. ‘One for all and all for one.’ Where open minds open doors. And talent thrives, collectively. At Collective, we lead the way in creative innovation, helping brands explore new possibilities and overcome complex challenges by combining creativity, strategy, and technology. Our expertise lies in delivering tailored digital experiences and solutions for brands of all sizes, including sites, apps, campaigns, branding, and real-time 3D production. The Role We’re currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic digital designer to join the creative team at Collective. Working alongside senior creatives, your role will be focused on design direction and delivery for a number of large scale web and digital creative projects for major global brands. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years industry experience within a creative agency, with a focus on digital-first projects. Attitude is everything, so you will be passionate about digital design craft and execution, with a motivated and aspirational approach that means you are constantly striving to deliver exceptional work. You will be someone who loves detail, precision and problem solving through design. However, you will also have a good understanding of how our client’s strategic needs inform design choices and are not driven purely by aesthetics. You will also excel at balancing the creation of technically precise digital outputs, with the pursuit of creatively expressive designs. You will be well experienced in taking briefs from other creatives and account managers, and able to understand, process and take inspiration from design direction and feedback. We are not a huge team and operate a fairly flat structure, so while you will receive direction and guidance, this role will suit someone who is ambitious, and has a desire to learn, thrive and run with projects where needed. Experience and skillset A minimum of five years digital design experience within a digital design or creative agency, with a focus on digital-first projects Strong skills in Figma are essential, with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as expected skills too. Experience with After Effects, Premiere Pro, Miro, and ProtoPie are beneficial. Good understanding of UI design, concentrating on design concepts, atomic design principles, component-based web design and design systems. A strong basis in classic design fundamentals such as typography, layout and colour theory are essential. Experience with, or strong understanding of, UX design is highly beneficial, with a focus on information architecture, content sorting, wireframing and prototyping. Any experience with digital advertising, branding or motion design are beneficial. Any client-facing presentation experience is beneficial. A portfolio of six or more significant web or digital design projects that you have played an active role in and can confidently present.
