We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Data Protection Solicitor to join their growing team. Role Overview: As a Data Protection Solicitor, you will manage a diverse range of data privacy matters, offering expert legal advice on compliance with data protection laws, including the GDPR, data breach management, data transfers, and privacy policies. Your role will involve advising clients on best practices to ensure they are aligned with current data protection regulations while mitigating legal risks. Key Responsibilities: Advise clients on all aspects of data protection, including compliance with GDPR, the Data Protection Act, and other relevant legislation. Draft and review privacy policies, data processing agreements, and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs). Assist with managing data breaches, including investigation, reporting, and liaising with regulatory authorities. Provide strategic advice on data security, cross-border data transfers, and consent management. Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop data protection strategies and ensure ongoing compliance. Build and maintain strong client relationships through high-quality, tailored advice. Qualifications: Qualified solicitor (NQ - 5 years PQE) with experience in data protection and privacy law. Strong knowledge of data protection regulations, particularly the GDPR and UK data protection laws. Excellent communication, negotiation, and advisory skills. Strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
