Company Description Puma Berry Ltd provides contract services to medium and large-sized private-sector clients in the UK Defence and Aerospace Industries. The company undertakes contracts to deliver well-defined technology projects using its sub-contract resources. Overview We seek a highly skilled Security Cleared C++ Software Architecture Contractor (outside-IR35) with front-end experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience with HMI, HCI, or GUI development and proficiency in the Qt framework. In addition, experience designing software architecture and defining software requirements are a must. This unique role is based in Crawley, offering a hybrid work model of 3 days a week on-site, providing a balance between office collaboration and remote flexibility. Responsibilities Develop and maintain software applications using C++. Design and implement front-end solutions for HMI/HCI/GUI interfaces. Work with the Qt framework to build robust, user-friendly applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project goals. Ensure security and performance compliance in software design. Provide technical support and resolve issues related to software development. Skills Proven experience in C++ software development. Proven experience in software design Proven experience defining software requirements Strong front-end development skills with HMI/HCI/GUI design expertise. Proficiency in the Qt framework (QML experience is a plus but not required). SC Clearance (UK Security Clearance) and UKEO essential. Ability to work on-site in Crawley 3 days a week. Nice-to-Have: Experience with QML. Familiarity with Agile development processes. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Qualifications Analytical Skills, Communication, and Contract Management skills Experience in Contract Negotiation and Contractual Agreements Strong proficiency in C++ and Qt programming Experience in Front-End Development Knowledge of the UK Defence and Aerospace Industries is a plus Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
