The Global Conflicts Team is responsible for clearing all new matters entering the firm. Due to increased workload, they are seeking interim support for a 12-month fixed-term contract which can be based in either Birmingham or London. As either a Junior Conflicts or Conflicts Analyst, you will: Work closely with the New Business Conflicts Supervisor, firm’s Ethics Committee, firm attorneys, and other administrative teams. Collaborate with the New Business Conflicts Department to review new business, identify, and resolve potential conflicts of interest. Key Responsibilities: Assist in identifying potential conflicts of interest through database research on client and matter information provided by attorneys, assistants, and support staff. Review new business intake requests, collate preliminary conflict check results, and resolve conflict of interest issues. Research new client matters and resolve associated conflicts of interest as needed. Ideal Candidates: Conflicts analysts:1 – 2 years’ experience Junior Conflicts Analysts: 6 months conflicts or compliance experience or a paralegal with an understanding of conflicts, broadcasting good research and analytical skills
