Brief Outline Are you an experienced CAD Technician with a passion for civil engineering design? Our client is seeking a skilled professional to join their team, contributing to critical water, wastewater, and stormwater projects within the AMP8 Yorkshire Water Frameworks. About the Client Our client specializes in water and wastewater treatment, road and bridge construction, and marine and coastal projects. With a reputation for delivering innovative solutions, they’re at the forefront of infrastructure development. Roles/Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings/models, including: Site layouts and GA drawings of structures. Reinforced concrete buildings and steel structures. Pumping stations, pipelines, valves, and mechanical components. Cabling, pipework, containment, and temporary works structures. P&ID’s and electrical SLDs/block diagrams. Collaborate with the CAD Team and designers to review and refine drawings/models. Coordinate with site delivery teams to ensure constructability and preferred construction methods. Participate in design reviews, including HAZOPS, ALMs, and Stage Gate assessments. Qualifications Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D (essential) and 3D modelling. Experience with 3D modelling software (Revit preferred) for civil/construction projects. Familiarity with BIM360 or similar cloud file hosting environments. Knowledge of BS19560 rules and standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong communication skills for articulating ideas and receiving feedback effectively.
