UK Compliance&ESG Manager, Luxury hospitality International business, London based Initial 9 month interim 5 years compliance experience required Greenfield opportunity Amazing team and business culture Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and team player, with in-depth knowledge of the latest compliance and ESG regulations and business requirements and appropriately manages risk. Background: We are representing an excellent consumer focused company who are going through transformational change which has created a huge opportunity as UK Compliance&ESG Manager. This is a true greenfield site where you can make a real difference across the business. They are looking for an exceptional Compliance Manager based in London to join a growing dynamic team to support with various priority workstreams and lead across all compliance processes. This role is varied and with that exciting, allowing you the opportunity to become involved in a variety of projects. You will have input in the delivery of end-to-end Compliance initiatives and tasks, to drive compliance and improve standards across this multinational group. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for all compliance activity across the business, with a focus on: • Conducting assessments and define and build a robust compliance framework. • Providing advice on compliance matters, including sanctions, ABC, Conflicts, Whistleblowing and Gifts&Hospitality etc. • Assisting with GDPR compliance, including handling Subject Access Requests (SARs). • Serving as the point of contact for all data protection inquiries, investigating breaches and writing detailed reports. • Reviewing contracts, engagement letters, and terms of business, ensuring alignment with the firm’s policies and procedures. • Managing claims and complaints, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. You will come with: A seasoned compliance professional with 5 years of proven experience in a compliance role, preferably within a B2C industry. Familiarity with business integrity areas, UK bribery laws and regulations. Demonstrated experience in a similar role within multinational corporations or Plc. Proven track record in conducting investigations across various areas such as harassment, discrimination, fraud, bribery, conflicts of interest, competition and corporate governance. Strong reputation for integrity and ethical conduct. Solid influencing and interpersonal skills within a matrix organisation. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate and simplify complex issues. Ability to exercise good and independent judgment. Willingness to raise potentially sensitive and tense issues at all levels of management.
