Job Title: Civil Structural Engineer Location : Reading Contract : 12 months (Outside IR35) Clearance : SC Clearance preferred Rate : Open Hybrid Working : Monday and Friday working from home, Tuesday to Thursday on-site. Overview We are looking for an experienced Civil Structural Engineer to work for our client on a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil and structural design, with experience across various project stages. SC clearance is preferred, but can be arranged for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Design civil and structural elements in line with project requirements and UK standards. Support project delivery, ensuring designs meet quality, budget, and timeline. Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with design specifications. Prepare technical reports and documentation for clients and stakeholders. Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to solve engineering challenges. Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and regulations. Essential Skills&Experience Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent). At least 5 years’ experience in civil and structural design. Proficient in structural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, TEKLA, STAAD). Strong knowledge of UK engineering standards and regulations. Experience on large infrastructure projects (e.g., transport, energy, utilities). Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Desirable Active SC clearance.
