Role : Chief Operating Officer Location : London Firm : Leading Legal 500 Law Firm Salary : Competitive £100k DOE I am currently working on a very exciting opportunity with a well-respected London law firm who are currently seeking a COO to bolster their senior management team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an industry leading law firm and be instrumental in the firms continued success Key Responsibilities : As COO, you will report directly to the Managing Partner and Equity Partners, delivering operational efficiencies and fostering a culture of continuous innovation. • Enhancing billable hours and cash generation processes. • Overseeing operational team performance and staff development. • Leading employee performance reviews and bonus structures. • Implementing comprehensive staff training programs. • Managing resources and planning for growth demands, including M&A integration. • Streamlining internal systems and procedures across payments, HR, compliance, and induction processes. • Supporting regulatory compliance and aged debt management. • Improving financial reporting and analytics in partnership with the Head of Finance. • Expanding and embedding the firm's culture of innovation. • Supporting office expansions and due diligence for recruitment. About You : The ideal candidate will be a proactive, solution-oriented leader who aligns with the firm’s long-term strategy. Key attributes include: • Extensive experience in professional services (preferably law firms). • Strong financial acumen and a commercial mindset. • Proven leadership and people management skills. • Highly organised with excellent forward-planning capabilities. • Analytical, innovative, and flexible with an agile mindset. • A confident and diplomatic approach to challenging the status quo constructively. • Dynamic and consistent in delivering results. Required : • Have a minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience of working within a: • regulatory environment. • in a senior finance role employing a minimum of 25 staff and reporting directly to the partnership. • Professional services environment. • An excellent understanding of financial management, legal finance and cashering, Solicitors’ Accounts Rules, SRA and other regulatory compliance, law firm organisation and management. • Recognised accounting qualification.
