About the job Heriot Brown is partnering with a global leader in the insurance and reinsurance industry to find a capital markets lawyer . This role is to provide legal advice and transactional support to their capital markets and investment fund management activities. About the company They have significant global presence, offering a wide range of reinsurance products and services and are involved in the research and risk assessments from natural disasters to climate change, and emerging risks. About the role You'll join the Alternative Capital Partners (ACP) and Asset Management team a market-leading team recognised for innovative transactions and awarded Deal of the Year for their achievements. This team are involved in helping clients looking to utilise capital markets to transfer risk by setting up and offering catastrophe bonds and other insurance-linked securities (ILS) products. Additionally, they have created an asset manager where they support the distribution of funds and investments specifically within the ILS asset class. They are currently in the process of setting up a UCITS fund in Europe and will also be involved in advising on investment activities across a range of asset such as derivatives, real estate, private equity, securities, direct lending and fixed income. Who Are You? We’re looking for a qualified lawyer with: At least 3 years of capital markets experience in the UK, gained at a respected law firm or international financial institution A strong foundation in structuring complex capital markets transactions Interest or experience in the insurance and reinsurance sectors is a plus What’s in It for You?
