They offer a great work/life balance with a 35-hour working week and hybrid working. The Business Development Lead is a senior role within the business, representing the practice in the UK. You’ll be at the forefront of identifying opportunities, building networks, and creating relationships that elevate the practice’s profile in the architectural world. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact and help shape the future of their UK business. You’ll be fully responsible for all business development activities in the UK, with the freedom and autonomy to craft and implement strategies that make a difference. Key responsibilities include: - Take ownership of BD for the UK business, creating processes and plans that drive success Cultivate new and existing client relationships with the purpose of securing new opportunities for the UK business Research and pursue new business prospects, projects, and partnerships to identify opportunities Build a detailed understanding of target organisations and develop strategies to engage them effectively Execute BD activities aligned with the UK market and practice’s strategy Attend industry events, develop connections, and raise the profile of the practice Work with architects, designers, and leadership to align business development goals with their design philosophy Key skills required: - Strong business development experience within the architecture sector (essential) A deep understanding of the industry, with the ability to speak the language and engage credibly with clients and stakeholders Creative and enthusiastic with a passion for BD and winning new work A proactive, driven individual who thrives in an autonomous role A natural relationship builder with a passion for connecting people and creating opportunities Knowledgeable about trends, challenges, and opportunities in the architectural industry This role is perfect for someone who has a passion for business development and architecture and thrives on creating meaningful connections.
